Blooming Traditions: A Pink and Orange Thanksgiving for Fall 2023

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on gratitude, savor delicious food, and spend quality moments with loved ones. While tradition is at the heart of this holiday, sometimes, it’s refreshing to add a dash of creativity to the mix. This year, we decided to celebrate Thanksgiving with a twist, embracing a nontraditional color palette of pink and orange, which is currently trending for Fall 2023.

To make our vision a reality, we collaborated with Ana Valencia of Let’s Bloom Floral, who helped us create stunning centerpieces using a unique array of flowers. Our celebration featured a delightful fusion of vibrant blooms, mouthwatering bites by Flour and Weirdoughs, and, of course, cherished moments with family and friends. Join us as we share the story of our memorable Thanksgiving photo shoot!

For our Thanksgiving celebration, we wanted to break away from the usual earthy tones and traditional color schemes. This year, it’s all about embracing the vivacious hues of pink and orange, which, in turn, represent various significant aspects of the holiday. These bold colors not only add a fresh and modern touch to the festivities but also symbolize joy, warmth, and togetherness, all essential elements of Thanksgiving.

Pink and orange evoke feelings of happiness and enthusiasm, infusing the atmosphere with positivity that aligns perfectly with the spirit of the holiday. This choice signifies our appreciation for evolving trends and our willingness to embrace change while preserving the essence of Thanksgiving. It’s a nod to inclusivity, celebrating the diverse cultural influences in America, and the idea that Thanksgiving can be a celebration for everyone, regardless of their cultural heritage. These vibrant colors create a visually stunning and memorable environment, adding energy to the celebration.

They make Thanksgiving feel more like a special occasion, setting the stage for heartwarming conversations, shared laughter, and love among family and friends. Ultimately, our unique color palette emphasizes that Thanksgiving is about embracing creativity and warmth, all while cherishing the love and gratitude shared with those who matter most.

To bring our vision to life, we enlisted the talents of Ana Valencia from Let’s Bloom Floral. Ana is known for her unique floral designs, and she didn’t disappoint. She expertly crafted centerpieces that were nothing short of breathtaking, using a captivating assortment of flowers. Our floral arrangements featured Peach and Orange Alstroemeria, Dark Pink and Orange Carnations, Purple Scabiosas, Pink and Peach Ah! Maze roses, Light Bronze Pompons, Peach Cremons, and Solidago, creating a delightful burst of colors and textures. She balanced each arrangement perfectly with touches of bronze, peach, and novelty purple.

No Thanksgiving celebration is complete without delectable dishes, and we couldn’t be happier with this fun menu by Flour and Weirdoughs. Each bite was a burst of flavor that perfectly complemented the vibrant colors of our event.

  • Caramelized stone fruit salad, burrata, toasted pine nuts, mint goddess dressing, F&W grilled sourdough.

Ultimately, Thanksgiving is all about cherishing moments with family and friends. Our nontraditional color palette and unconventional floral choices became the backdrop for heartwarming conversations, shared laughter, and love. The vibrant surroundings created a lively atmosphere that encouraged everyone to be present and enjoy the company of their loved ones.

Our nontraditional Thanksgiving celebration, filled with pink and orange blooms and scrumptious delights, proved that there’s no one right way to celebrate this cherished holiday. By embracing creativity and breaking away from tradition, we were able to create an unforgettable experience for our loved ones.

In the end, it’s not just about the colors or the flowers; it’s about the warmth, love, and joy we share with those who mean the most to us.

This Thanksgiving, we hope you, too, find inspiration in nontraditional elements and create beautiful memories with your family and friends. After all, Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude, togetherness, and the beauty of love, however you choose to express it.
